New pad?
I discovered a great-looking (don’t be put off by the front!) property on realestate.com.au this morning – I’m planning on finding my own place, after living in a shoebox for three months!
So, I donned a suit (to look as professional as possible – good impressions are important!), and Daniel and I went to check the place out. It’s a couple of minutes walk away – perfect – and the place is just fantastic. It’s all newly refurbished – great varnished wooden floors, newly painted walls, a great new kitchen. The back yard’s fairly barren, but I’m actually excited about the prospect of doing it up with native plants.
So, the place is essentially perfect for me. It’s $275 per week, which is affordable, and exactly where I want to be, geographically.
I sprinted through the application form, in an attempt to get it in by closing time today (hopefully not too inaccurately), and fired it off in an email to the agent – will also drop by tomorrow morning and hand in the form in person. The competition for the place was fairly fierce, so I’m going to have to be pushy, I suppose. Fingers crossed – I really want this place!!
